The Reverse Logistics Process is more complex than the Forward Logistics Process. One major reason is the mixture of single items with case product returns. The high volume of single items requires a more flexible, systematic rule-based system to accommodate the variety of product that is returned. CLS has invested in the systems and the technology to handle the complexity of reverse logistics. Our reverse logistics physical handling solutions include:
- Facility Management - National footprint of over 40 regional reverse logistics facilities
- Processing Systems - Customized systems to handle conveyable and non-conveyable items as well as damaged, outdated, withdrawn and discontinued items
- Product Retrieval - National Field Force for store or distribution center pick-up projects such as product withdrawals and recalls
- Reverse-to-Forward Fulfillment - Processes to prepare returned goods to first quality product to be shipped to secondary markets
- Disposition - Computer aided disposition (donate, disposal, return to vendor) to physical handling such as repacking, kitting, and return to stock
- Warehouse Storage - Space for on-going or event based storage needs
